ALPHA CHI’s Chapter President
Alpha Chi Chapter of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. is a business and professional women’s organization. Members in this organization spend countless hours in the communities working diligently to carry out Iota Phi Lambda Sorority’s service Projects and Programs. These outstanding Sorors, wearing strands of white pearls in green and/or white paraphernalia, represent a commitment to Leadership and Empowerment in the execution of everything they do on behalf of this illustrious chapter.
Alpha Chi Chapter helps develop leaders to serve as mentors to students. They also seek ways to meet the needs of our communities such as collect needed donations to the foodbank in Hampton Roads & the Eastern Shore. The chapter has consistently supported local school systems through donated school supplies along with the awarding of thousands of dollars to middle and high school student for various scholarships over the years.
Words cannot adequately describe my joy and gratefulness to serve as president of this outstanding organization. Our History
It was on February 22, 1946, under the visionary leadership of Mrs. Nona B. Diggs, Alpha Chi Chapter was organized by calling together six energetic ladies who, like herself, were interested in embracing the aims and ideals of this prestigious business and professional organization, Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc.
