A soror is selected by their colleagues for their outstanding work and contribution to the chapter, whom then goes on to represent the chapter on the regional and/or national level.
Michele “Mikki” Jones
2025 Soror of The Year
Michele Mikki Jones is a published author, speaker, poet, advocate, and business owner. As a graduate of Norfolk State University, Michele has taken her understanding of people and used it to become a standout leader in the event management industry and social work. With her studies as a Certified Associate Project Manager under her cap, Michele will further her education and begin her Master’s in Social Work studies in August 2025.
Because Michele appreciates the importance of engagement, appearance, and expression, especially when it comes to planning events, her company Ease & Excellence Event Planning has been awarded a 5-year subgrant with the Hampton Roads Blue Green Oasis Program (sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts at Norfolk State University).
Outside of business, Michele tutors, mentors and instructs in the areas of entrepreneurship, business, and technology on how to anticipate needs and create opportunities for advancement and she is very active in her community. As a mentor she offers hope. As an instructor she provides understanding. As an entrepreneur she is an inspiration.
